The holiday season has come once again. The little reminders are popping up, one by one, earlier and earlier in the year. Whether it's the surge of advertisements reminding you of holiday shopping yet to be done, the flood of blended peppermint-flavored coffees or the increase in holiday classics on the radio, the signs of the season are beginning to envelop us. This most wonderful time of the year is a favorite of many -- myself included. There are so many things to look forward to!

I'm looking forward to celebrating with my family; to my favorite traditions (such as fighting with my cats over lights while setting up the tree); to well-loved holiday meals (my adoration for a broccoli, cheese and rice casserole my mother makes every year is practically legendary at this point); and to the air of camaraderie and good will that fills the holiday season. Most of all, I'm just looking forward to seeing more of the heartwarming stories that give me hope come to the forefront. Feel-good stories are never in short supply in December.

2016 has been a momentous year; with 2017 right around the corner, it's anyone's guess what the next one has in store for us.

From everyone at Be Magazine: we hope that you have a wonderful holiday season, and a happy new year.
