One thing leads to another -- very true for Andrea LaMontagne, owner of Be Love Boutique.

"While I was looking for unique pieces for my own apartment, I wanted something that would last," said LaMontagne.

LaMontagne resisted the urge to purchase new, plastic pieces of furniture. After accumulating furniture and re-furbishing her own items, her friends started asking for her help.

"I have been re-arranging furniture since I was big enough to push a couch," said LaMontagne.

Coming back to Bismarck after spending time in Minneapolis, LaMontagne was inspired by all of the new businesses cropping up in the community.

"I decided to partner with them and sell out of their shops," said LaMontagne. Since Be Love Boutique isn't found in a traditional brick and mortar location, it affords LaMontagne the opportunity to cross promote and work with a variety of business owners.

"I have the ability to move things around to different locations."

Connecting with her friend, Bitsy Coe, who was opening the new Dunn Bros. Coffee in north Bismarck, was a perfect fit. LaMontagne had worked at a few different Dunn Bros. locations in Minneapolis.

The two women teamed up with LaMontagne helping Coe with her design and decor options for the new coffee shop.

"I helped Bitsy at the very end of her process," said LaMontagne, "Bitsy had a great vision."

LaMontagne worked on a few furniture pieces, decorated the bathrooms and provided textiles, such as pillows an cushions for some of the seating arrangements in the coffee shop.

Re-finishing furniture isn't LaMontagne's only enterprise. She is working on a new clothing line, LaMontagne & Manning Couture coming next year.
